Hundreds dance with Peppa for Tommy’s

-

MORE than 300 local babies and toddlers have been galloping, jumping and boogying with Peppa Pig during their weekly Babyballet classes and have raised more than £1,700 for Tommy’s charity.

The children were all invited to take part in a “danceathon” for Tommy’s, a charity that investigates premature deaths in babies.

Boys and girls from six months to six years of age were sponsored to complete five challenges in their Peppa Pig-themed dance lessons during the week of the October 15-20.

They have raised around £1,700 so far but the total is expected to increase even further.

Little ones looked adorable in their tutus as they went an imaginary journey with Peppa Pig.

Together with 24,000 others from around the country, they aim to raise £500,000 to help fund Tommy’s vital research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.

Babyballet franchise owner Jennifer Berrett said: “We are really proud to be supporting such an amazing charity, and really enjoyed taking part in the fun classes. Every little star enjoyed the games, and completed the challenges with smiles on their faces.

“There were plenty of giggles and ‘oinks’ in the classes, and the children loved having Peppa Pig watching them dance too!’

Babyballet holds classes at various venues in Southport, Formby & Crosby, six days a week.
