Barber’s shop in the running to be top of the crop

MEN’S grooming specialist, The Company of Master Barbers in Southport has been recognised as a stellar example of British barbering after securing a finalist place in HJ’s British Hairdressi­ng Business Awards 2019.

The Lord Street salon is in the running to win the Male Grooming Salon – Barbershop of the Year award, sponsored by Modern Barber magazine.

The category recognises the top six UK salons that cater specifical­ly for male clients.

Owners Robert and Dan Rix impressed a host of industry judges with their business growth and how the salon’s unique selling points had been highlighte­d through impactful marketing. Kudos was also given for examples of how the team had worked together to achieve amazing results at both shows and magazine features.

Special note was given to the beautiful décor and service offerings that made the business the best destinatio­n male grooming salon in the area.

Jayne Lewis-Orr, executive director of HJ’s British Hairdressi­ng Business Awards said: “To be named as a finalist in the Male Grooming – Barbershop of the Year category confirms just how exceptiona­l The Company of Master Barbers is.
