Thug admits brain-bleed attack

A 21-YEAR-OLD is to be sentenced over an attack which left a man with a bleed on his brain.

The victim, Philip Fletcher, aged in his 50s, fell and banged his head after being punched in

Southport town centre.

The incident happened more than two years ago but attacker Luke Waterhouse appeared in court for the first time last week.

Waterhouse, from Swinton in Greater Manchester,

pleaded guilty to assault in relation to the 6.30am altercation, which took place on Waverley Street on April 22, 2018.

He will next go before Liverpool Crown Court to be sentenced on August 5.
