National M&S ban for shoplifter

A MAN has been banned from every Marks & Spencer shop in the country after being caught shoplifting in the Southport branch.

Richard Waite, 38, stole £50 of goods from the Chapel Street store on Wednesday July 8 but was caught after community support officers were alerted via the Town Link radio system.

Waite, from Old Swan, was fined a total of £275 including court costs and handed a community order banning him from every M&S in England and Wales for 12 months.
