Holidays back on agenda

-

MERSEYSIDE’S Revitalise has announced new 2021 holidays – as 71% of disabled people need respite now more than ever.

I am very proud to work for Revitalise, an amazing charity that usually creates holidays for disabled people and carers at our accessible respite centre in Southport, Merseyside.

After this most unusual pandemic year, we are delighted to return bigger and better and reveal our fantastic 2021 ‘Early Bird’ holiday offers, packed full of entertainment, themed weeks and day trips – all with discounts, savings and book with confidence guarantees.

Many disabled people are feeling exhausted and at breaking point after a lengthy isolation and a massive 71% of those we surveyed said they need a respite holiday now more than ever.

We’re proud to say they can now start planning their next holiday, and do so safely with Revitalise’s ‘Book With Confidence Guarantee,’ allowing them to cancel or rebook their holiday with absolutely no amendment fees, giving them peace of mind when booking.

Revitalise are also offering their lowest deposit ever of £49, as well as half price care support and companion discounts, saving guests up to £1,107.

During the current Covid-19 crisis, we have been offering our facilities, care and nursing teams at the recently refurbished Revitalise Jubilee Lodge centre in Essex and Netley Waterside House in Hampshire to support local NHS hospitals.

We have welcomed patients not suffering from the Covid-19 virus in order to free up beds for patients who are, relieving pressure on the

NHS and ensuring availability of space for more critical patients.

Revitalise Netley Waterside House and Revitalise Sandpipers in Merseyside have also continued to support disabled people during the pandemic, welcoming guests for urgent care-supported respite.

Over the coming months of this year, we are offering respite stays and breaks with adapted activities and entertainment, depending on the up-to-date government guidelines at the time.

All of us at Revitalise are looking forward to welcoming guests back to our holiday centres for some much-needed fun, laughter and great memories combined with the reassurance of expert care support.

We all need a break now more than ever and we can’t wait to get back to doing what we do best!

Anybody who is worried about whether their care support at home can continue, or would like to take advantage of the Revitalise Early Bird, should contact Revitalise.

BE WARY OF CALLERS

IN some areas, track and trace by telephone is being replaced by council employees knocking on doors.

I am always suspicious when someone knocks on my door, claiming to represent the council or any other organisation unless I have received prior notification.

As they know, at my address, leave a letter, addressed to me personally, giving the venue together with the date, time and the person with whom I came into contact who has now tested positive for Covid-19.
