Keeping up our New campaign

-

AS a result of the second lockdown our inaugural Nearly New November retail campaign will now focus on our eBay store and the Queenscourt Christmas shop on our website.

Our friendly retail team are very disappointed that we can’t welcome our customers into Queenscourt’s shops to discover that perfect pre-loved item as part of our planned Nearly New November promotion in store.

The aim had been to increase footfall in our shops whilst promoting the important environmental value of recycling and upcycling’ clothes.

Sadly, all of our shops have had to close again for at least a month, but we are determined that our Nearly New November campaign should continue.

Pre-loved fashion, as it is known, is now widely regarded as one of the fastest growing sustainable fashion trends.

It encourages people to recycle their old clothes, which can provide valuable income for charities such as Queenscourt, whilst also keeping the unwanted items out of landfill.

We have a wealth of preloved items in stock and each day in our Nearly New November campaign we will be showcasing some of these items online.

It could prove the perfect time to pick up that special outfit for Christmas Day, or buy those essential festive gifts.

Our Christmas cards are also available to purchase online or by phoning 01704 544645 and asking for our retail team.

We have a variety of Christmas Card designs which are sold in packs of 10, for between £3 and £3.50 a pack, and all are standard letter size when it comes to posting.

We have cards featuring local scenes, such as Ormskirk

Parish Church and Christmas Time in Churchtown; others featuring animals, including our ever-popular robin who has some added sparkle this year, as well as more traditional festive scenes.

The pandemic has had a devastating impact on Queenscourt’s fundraising income, which is down by 68% compared to this time last year, with key events such as Star Trekk our annual night walk having to be cancelled.

Our shops provide us with a valuable source of income for our charity and their closure means that we need your support more than ever to help keep Queenscourt in service.

Please shop local this year and support Queenscourt, so that we can continue to provide compassionate care for local people when they need it the most.

Queenscourt Hospice is at Town Lane, Southport, Merseyside.
