MAN is a cancer to the Earth, We are getting now what we deserve,

This planet we inherited, we’re now destroying, Personally to me, it’s really annoying,

Animals, birds, we’re making extinct, Never actually stopping to think,

Life in our oceans is also threatened, Our rain forests now, also regressing

Plants, insects, are disappearing fast, Soon to become life from the past

Nuclearisation, the Atom Bomb What on earth is going on?

Germ warfare, Gases, meant to destroy, All have become the dictators’ toy,

It all boils down to power and greed, Wanting more than what they need,

Man’s own worst enemy is himself, Brought on by the evil demon wealth,

Some people won’t be happy until we’re extinct, I think it’s now time to stop and think.

AS this cold and long winter extends itself, until it looks like it will never end,

The first daffodil has been spotted, what a sign of hope that sends,

Snowdrops are beautiful, but can spring up while the snow is still on the ground,

Whereas the beautiful daffodil, bears the colour of the sun, and gives hope Spring will soon abound,

Not only is Spring a time of new life and warmer air, but this year it also gives hope of a start to the end of the pandemic,

The most vulnerable will soon have been vaccinated, with less people falling sick,

Plans can then be made, for a return to more normal living, with safety still in mind,

Once those at risk are protected, we can return to full education, proper working days, and hugging and holding all those we left behind.
