Make a gift... use Willpower!

-

APRIL is Will Awareness Month and we are hoping that more people than ever will use their ‘Will Power’ by leaving a gift in their Will to support Queenscourt’s invaluable services going forward.

Since our Make A Will Month scheme was launched in 2014, it has raised over £97,000 and seen more than 700 wills written or updated.

The initiative, which has the support of at least 12 leading solicitors’ firms across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire, encourages people to make a Will in exchange for a charitable donation to Queenscourt.

Gifts in Wills have helped to Keep Queenscourt in Service for over 30 years and whatever amount you choose to give, a legacy gift can make a real difference to patients and their families, when they most need your support. We truly value your Will Power.

Having a Will written professionally can give you peace of mind and helps to ensure that your loved ones are taken care of.

“It’s a good idea to review your Will every five years, as times change and so can your wishes. After you have looked after your nearest and dearest, a gift in your Will could help #TeamQueenscourt to continue providing compassionate care for over 1,800 local people each year.

This April, in exchange for a donation to Queenscourt Hospice, we are offering you the opportunity to book an appointment directly with a local solicitor, and they’ll help you to write a new Will.

“Simply choose a solicitor from the list below and call them directly to make an appointment.

The solicitor will not charge you for their time but instead will invite you to make a donation to Queenscourt. For a Basic Will the suggested donation is £100 or £150 for a Mirror Will.

Kate Tipton-Thomas of Queenscourt said: “We are grateful to the local solicitors who are able to give up their time again this year to support Queenscourt during Will Month 2021.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the solicitors who have supported Will Month in previous years, but who are unable to participate this year due to current constraints. We look forward to working with you again on future Will Month campaigns.”

Kate added: “The future of your local Hospice relies upon people like you remembering us in your Will.

“It’s a simple way of ensuring that we’ll be here to care for generations to come.

“Once you have provided for your loved ones, please consider leaving a donation to Queenscourt.”
