A loser like Starmer a waste of money

-

KEIR Starmer is not only an electoral liability to Labour – he is also threatening it with bankruptcy.

Since his dismal reign began in April 2020, Labour has been haemorrhaging members at a phenomenal rate. Many thousands have left in disgust. Now the chickens are coming home to roost.

Labour’s National Executive Committee was told on Tuesday, July 20 of plans to make 90 HQ staff redundant due to falling revenues. At the same meeting, it voted to proscribe four “left-wing” groupings that will lead to expulsions of at least 1,000 members. This Spanish Inquisition will also lead to thousands more party members joining the exodus in sympathy, and in opposition to a new “Star Chamber” that has been set up to hasten disciplinary proceedings against those who fall foul of Starmer and the Blairite clique who are misleading the party to disaster.

So Starmer is like a man who is told he has lung cancer and must stop smoking who reacts by buying five packets of 20 cigarettes to deal with the stress.

Under Corbyn, Labour’s membership quadrupled to over 600,000, making it Europe’s largest party. Now is plummeting, as tens of thousands leave in disgust.

The flood of members out of the party will continue, as Starmer follows a completely ruinous policy of offering no serious opposition to Johnson’s Government in the midst of a pandemic that has killed over 200,000 British people already – the highest death toll in Europe.

That death toll will rise dramatically following the reckless lifting of all lockdown restrictions, flying in the face of scientific advice and steeply rising infections, hospitalisations, and deaths.

The Trade Union bureaucrats who continue to finance Labour are like losing gamblers in a casino who continue to place bets as their chips disappear.

Millions of pounds of their members’ money is literally being thrown away in financing a loser like Starmer. Hartlepool and Batley and Spen were clear warnings of impending electoral disaster.

The British working class is completely disenfranchised under current political conditions. Labour is not representing working class people and their interests. It is now a Party of the careerist middle class.

The advanced workers must set about the urgent task of creating a new, militant, uncompromising Socialist Party to fight for the overthrow of capitalism, and to create a Workers Government that will place health before wealth, need before greed, and the interests of the millions before the interests of the millionaires.
