In brief SAD FAREWELL

-

A MAN has penned an emotional goodbye to his neighbours and the area he lives in after claiming he was forced to move out of his home.

The man, who lives in the Ainsdale area of Southport, says he has ‘no choice’ but to find somewhere else to live.

Posting on a neighbourhood app, he wrote: “I have to move out next week and I am upset about it, as I don’t want to but have no choice.

“My landlord has sold the flat to be knocked down for redevelopment but I just want to say I have been here since February and have found it very peaceful, and everyone I have met has been pleasant and nice.

“I will miss this place so much and my kids loved it too.

“I’d just like to say thank you for making me feel welcome.”

The post has prompted many responses.

One woman wrote: “You are most welcome, and I can only hope you will be very happy in your new home, along with your children.”

A man commented: “It’s very sad that you are forced out of your home where you have lived happily.

“I hope you and you kids will be as happy in your new home. Good luck to you all for the future.”

A third well-wisher said: “It’s always sad when you have to leave something you don’t want to, but in my experience, it all works out for the best in long run.

“Good luck with your new venture. I’m sure you will love it even more in time.”

A number of other good luck messages feature on the post, with one person commenting: “Things happen for a reason, maybe yours is to find something better”.
