CPSA Live in association with Sporting Gun is an event that will inspire you to take that first step in turning your hobby into a career. You might think that it is impossible to be paid to do what you enjoy doing, but this event will show you that it might not be as difficult as you think.

On the CPSA Live stand you can meet Olympians such as Steve Scott, who won bronze in a tense Double Trap shoot off at the Rio Olympics. He will be answering questions about what it takes to become a champion.

British Shooting, in the form of John Offord and Christian Schofield, will be on hand to explain the “Talent Pathway” for aspiring competitive shooters. So if you think you have what it takes to be a champion, then this is the place to be.

You may discover you have an aptitude for training top Shots and want to be a shooting instructor, or work at a shooting ground. You can find out how to do it from the best in the business at CPSA Live.

Others may have their sights on contributing to the rural economy and that is why Liam Bell, the chairman of the National Gamekeepers Organisation (NGO) who works at the Millchope Park estate in Shropshire, will be there to reveal all about his life as a gamekeeper. You can find out how he got where he is today and what advice he has for would-be gamekeepers. Liam is joined by Jamie Osborne, who sits on the NGO’s National Committee and is the NGO Regional Chairman for Herts, Beds and Northants. Jamie will be holding a Q&A on the Saturday of The Game Fair.

There are also other careers you might not have thought about, such as designing clothing for shooters, or being a shooting journalist. Top sports clothing brand Musto will be there to reveal the hard work that goes into a creating shooting jacket and the editor of Sporting Gun magazine will give you the low-down on becoming a hack.
