Sporting Gun

Low hold solution

-

I have read what you have to say about shooting springing teal with your Move, Mount, Shoot technique, but I am having difficulties. By holding out on the line of the bird I can see it leave the trap in the way you describe, but then I end up poking at it, and miss. What am I doing wrong?

John says: Easy... you’re holding the muzzles too far out, thereby restricting your gun movement. Sounds to me as if you’re holding so far out there isn’t any movement and that you are simply mounting the gun, poking at the target, and squeezing the trigger.

To stop this happening, adopt a slightly lower hold with the gun muzzles – this way the barrels will have to move when you see the target clearly and start mounting the gun.
