Night vision

Chris’ setup is a Tika Super Varmint T3 223 rifle with a Vortex Viper scope fitted with a Starlight Archer night vision kit. The Dragonfly illuminator makes a great difference and easily increases spotting distances up to 400 yards and you can see eye shine at 600.

We tend to use a Night Sabre Alfa red touch – handheld rather than the conventional truck mounted style lamps. It just seems quicker and easier and the torch is only for a quick sweep around to spot eye shine.
