Welcome

This month we are launching our photographic competition. I’m sure many of you will be out with your guns, if not, why not get your camera out and start taking pictures of some great sporting action? You can take pictures of people shooting, game, dogs, a beautiful landscape, beaters, pickers-up, dawn on the foreshore or anything you like.

We are looking for creativity, as well as photographic skill, but you don’t have to be a professional, or have a fancy camera. A phone camera will do. Just get out there and enter our competition on page 14.

You might be the lucky winner of nearly £500 worth of Alan Paine shooting kit. Make sure you get your entries in before the competition closes on 10 November and send them to: sportinggun@timeinc.com.

It was great to see so many of you at the Midland Game Fair and hear your feedback. It’s just a shame it rained so heavily.
