Badger culls have been extended
Natural England has issued licences for further badger culls in Gloucestershire and Somerset to combat bovine TB.
Issued following advice from DEFRA, the licences will last until 31 January 2022 and require Gloucestershire controllers to “swiftly and humanely” despatch a minimum of 160 and a maximum of 580 badgers.
In Somerset, the licence requires a minimum of 140 and a maximum of 610 culled badgers.
