Dad’s unregistered legacy
My father, who was suffering dementia, has died and we found a pair of shotguns when clearing his house. Apart from the war, he has never fired a gun and we don’t know how he came by these two. Clearly we will have to give them to the police, but can we transfer them to one of my cousins, who has a valid shotgun certificate?
Actually, there is no need to hand
David says:
the guns over to the police. The cousin, that has a shotgun certificate, can take the guns over easily enough. They will need to inform the police of the acquisition and how it happened. It’s quite a simple process really.
