RPSI appoints its first General Manager

The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland has announced the appointment of Ruth Harper to the newly created post of general manager at Whitehead. Ruth, who is currently Visitor Service Manager at Ulster Rugby, in Belfast, will take up the position on November 14. With its new £3.1 million railway museum at Whitehead due for opening around Easter 2017, the RPSI also plans to appoint an events and marketing officer, and an education and interpretation officer.
