ISLAND ‘TERRIER’ WIN

A valuable acquisition for the Isle of Wight Steam Railway’s museum has been the illuminated certificate presented to William Stroudley in 1878, after the line’s ‘Terrier’ No. W11 Newport (then No. 40 Brighton) won a gold medal at the Paris Exposition. The IoWSR would now like to track down the medal itself.
