JOAN BOWS OUT

Replica Bagnall 0‑4‑0IST (Inverted Saddle Tank) Joan, built in 1997 by Allen Civil, will make its last runs on the Golden Valley Light Railway, at the Midland Railway ‑ Butterley, on April 1/2 and 9 before its boiler certificate expires. It will then be sidelined while volunteers concentrate on completing the line’s 1914‑built Orenstein & Koppel 0‑4‑0WT, which has never run in preservation.
