Show’s over: ‘T3’ leaves London

-

LSWR 4-4-0 No. 563 has left King’s Cross after two years of being the star attraction in the theatre production of The Railway Children. The Adams engine racked up 96.3 miles being pushed to-and-fro by a Dutch battery-powered shunting locomotive across 771 performances, in addition to several rehearsals and publicity events. The Shildonbased ‘T3’ was transported by Moveright International. Meanwhile, Great North of Scotland Railway four-wheel carriage No. 34 has returned to the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. The North London site will become the new UK headquarters for global web giant Google. It was previously a locomotive stabling point, complete with turntable.
