Take a summer break to the heart of Europe with this unique steam tour travelling on some of the most scenic railway lines in Bavaria and Bohemia. You’ll stay in the charming cities of Würzburg and Pilsen, as well as the Alpine resort town of Rosenheim, while immersing yourself in the rich culture and unique transportation of these outstanding regions. With visits to the historical centres of Bamberg and Nürnberg also featuring, further tour highlights include private steam charters on three different German heritage railways, and two blissful days on the Czech main line covering ‘rare track’ with the magnificent 4-8-2 locomotive 475.111. There’s a private charter on the vintage rack railway to the summit of Mount Wendelstein and a scenic lake cruise aboard a genuine paddle wheeler on the Alpine Chiemsee in Bavaria, a recipe for an unforgettable holiday!
