PULLMAN TO WSR

Privately owned Pullman Kitchen First Lydia, which formed part of General Eisenhower’s special train, code-named ‘Bayonet’, and later ran in Winston Churchill’s funeral train, arrived at the West Somerset Railway on February 28 for contract work to be undertaken at Williton. The possibility of running it on the WSR is being discussed.
