WHAT IS EAST COAST JOINT STOCK?

-

East Coast Joint Stock is a fleet of carriages built jointly by the Great Northern, North Eastern and North British railways from 1860 for use on through-expresses on the East Coast Main Line between King’s Cross and Edinburgh Waverley. Until then, carriages used on these services were provided by the individual companies.
