Day 1 Lon­don to Rema­gen Meet at our ded­i­cated De­par­ture Of­fice in St Pan­cras In­ter­na­tional, be­fore trav­el­ling by Eurostar to Brussels. Con­tinue on to Cologne via the high-speed train. Un­der the spires of Cologne cathe­dral, trans­fer to a lo­cal ser­vice and travel along the banks of the Rhine to Rema­gen, where you will spend the next four nights at the Ho­tel Pinger. Sit­u­ated close to the town cen­tre, the Ho­tel Pinger is a lo­cal in­sti­tu­tion with the fam­ily hav­ing run ho­tels in the area since 1938.

Day 2 Königswin­ter and the Drachen­fels­bahn To­day, visit nearby Königswin­ter at the foot of the Siebenge­birge hills. Here, you en­joy a ride on the Drachen­fels­bahn, Ger­many’s old­est cog rail­way. If you gaze up as you as­cent the 722 feet the one mile track trav­els, you may be able to spot the ruins of the Abbey of Heis­ter­bach, which cling to the side of Peters­berg moun­tain.

Day 3 At leisure En­joy a day at leisure to ex­plore this beau­ti­ful re­gion at your own pace. Why not take excursion on a lo­cal train along the Ahr Val­ley, a wine­grow­ing re­gion fa­mous in Ger­many for its se­cluded, old world feel? Al­ter­na­tively, you could head to Linz am Rhein, fur­ther along the river banks. The an­cient town is fa­mous re­gion­ally for its colour­ful half-tim­bered houses, which bring a charm and vi­brancy to the quaint cob­bled streets of the Rhineland town.

Day 4 Rhine Gorge cruise to Rüdesheim En­joy an excursion to the nearby town of St Goar. From here, re­lax on a panoramic cruise, ven­tur­ing out as far as the fa­mous Lorelei Rock that marks the nar­row­est point of the river be­tween Switzer­land and the North Sea, and boasts UNESCO World Her­itage sta­tus. Upon ar­rival in Rüdesheim, you are free to ex­plore.

Day 5 Rema­gen to Lon­don To­day you leave Rema­gen by re­gional train for Cologne where you join the high-speed ser­vice to Brussels. Here, con­nect with the Eurostar ser­vice for the jour­ney back to St Pan­cras In­ter­na­tional in Lon­don where your tour comes to an end.
