ALL CAUSES NEED HELP

-

Editor Nick Brodrick mentioned how preserved railways appealing for funds (SR505) is possibly seen as unimportant in the current climate. I am sure the majority of your readers would agree, that good causes supporting humans and animals are more important than preserved railways.

However, I support several transport charities (again, no doubt, along with most of your readers) and there is still a need to keep them going during this awful time so that they will be there at the end of this crisis.

Our money is ours to use as we see fit and we should not feel guilty about how we spend it.

My ‘pet’ narrow gauge railway in Wales does not have any wages to pay and is reluctant to put out an appeal at this time.

However, the railway’s routine insurance payments and utility bills still need paying and we rely heavily on donations to cover these otherwise unseen costs, as there will be no income from the paying public for the foreseeable future.
