PETS PUT BEST PAW FORWARD

Cute critters vying to scoop top award

- Gareth Jones

Entries have started flooding in for our Pet Idol 2016 contest.

Over the next few weeks we are looking for you to send us your pictures of your furry friends, or even more exotic pets.

The winner of the competition will be crowned the cutest pet in Stirling and win a £50 voucher for Broadleys Veterinary Hospital, sponsors of the competition.

We started Pet Idol in 2014 and each year the competition has attracted hundreds of entries and we have already received scores of contenders for this year’s title.

Broadleys has a varied compliment of veterinary care professionals, from general practitioners to consultants in: orthopaedics, neurology, medicine, cardiology and pain management.

The company’s specialists receive referrals from all over Scotland and provide care for all sorts of animals - big and small. The practice has operated in the Stirling area for 21 years, and every pet it treats is a winner and receives top quality care.

To enter, all you have to do is take a picture of your amazing pet and submit it to the Observer with your name, the name of your pet, where you are from and how long you have had him or her.

We will print pictures submitted in the Wednesday and Friday issues of the Observer.

You can send us a photograph you have taken specially for the competition or a family favourite snapped in the past. So get snapping! Submit your photographs to the Observer at our office at 34 Upper Craigs, Stirling, email them to news@ stirlingobserver.co.uk or upload them to our Facebook page.

The usual Media Scotland competition terms and conditions apply.
