Age Concern Whist and dominoes are played tomorrow (Thursday) at 2pm in Alva Parish Church Hall. Parish Church The annual autumn fair will be held on Saturday, October 29 from 11am-2pm. All donations for the various stalls will be welcomed. Soup, sandwiches, coffee, tea and cakes will be served. Tickets are £2 for adults, £1 for children and £5 for families. Miners Welfare Social Club Bingo Mondays and Wednesdays at 8pm. Bannockbur­n Community Council Meetings take place in the community centre on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm. Everybody welcome. Flu Vaccine Clinics Annual flu vaccinatio­n clinics will be held on Tuesday, November 15 and Thursday, November 17. Everyone eligible for the vaccinatio­n is encouraged to attend as there will be limited clinics following this to offer the vaccine. The flu vaccine is available to everyone over 65 years or under 65 if you are pregnant; an unpaid carer or have a condition such as asthma, diabetes or any other long-term illness. Clinic dates have also been arranged for children aged two-five years old who are not attending school – please contact the health centre to arrange an appointmen­t on 01786 833210 (option 5).
