Jump aboard for some woodland magic and light

Service will run from Stirling and Glasgow to Balfron

- Donna White

A new shuttle bus is available from Stirling to the Woodland Light Experience in Balfron.

Organisers have teamed up with First Bus, which is offering a service from both Stirling and Glasgow so city centre families can join in the festive fun without transport worries.

After the huge success of last year, the Woodland Light Experience is counting down to another extravaganza of light and magic deep within the dark woodlands.

And First Bus is offering a special discounted rate to Woodland Light Experience ticket holders of £16 return per family travelling from the city. Balfron locals can also jump aboard and travel to and from the event for £2 return adults (£1 children).

Collaborating once again with award-winning NL Productions, this year the light show’s theme is TRANSITIONS. Organisers promise ‘an unfolding and a feeling of change as the walk progresses’, with a breathtaking area of light and music around a viewing platform at the water feature.

Suitable for the entire family, both adults and children will be in awe of the beautiful lighting effects, dazzling projections featuring light, music and water.

Children, with their keen senses and curious minds, might spot something altogether more magical in the woodland.

Tickets for the buses can be purchased on board. And shuttle times are available Mon-Sat between November 4-20. First Bus timetables for GlasgowBalfron and Stirling-Balfron can be found at www. firstgroup.com/uploads/ maps/Balfron%20TT%20 Bklt%20WEB.pdf

Visitors can arrive any time between 4.30-8.30pm (with the woodland closing at 9.30pm). On Friday and Saturday nights, latest arrival is 9pm with woodland closing at 10pm. Free and supervised car parking is available on site. And organisers are striving to provide access for wheelchair users.
