Plea after teen sex assault
Police were yesterday (Thursday) continuing to investigate a sexual assault on a teenager in Dunblane.
A 16-year-old girl was the victim of an indecent assault which occurred on Saturday (October 30).
The incident took place as the girl was walking in a lane which connects Kellie Wynd and Menteith View at around 11.30pm.
Police have launched an online appeal for information, and have carried out door-to-door inquiries in the area.
The investigation is being led by Stirling CID, and inquiries were said to be ongoing yesterday afternoon.
Detective Sergeant Johnny Dreczkowski said the young woman was left upset by what had happened.
He said: “The victim was understandably very shaken by this and we’re conducting a number of enquiries in the area in an effort to trace the perpetrator.
“We’re also appealing for the public’s help and I’d urge anyone who may have seen this male in the area, or who recognises his description, to come forward.”
The suspect is described as a white male, aged 16 to 25 years old, five foot 11 inches tall, of average build and he spoke with a strong Scottish accent. He was wearing dark-coloured Conversestyle trainers and a top with dark sleeves.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Stirling CID on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
