These were judged by Mr and Mrs. Graham Sinclair who had the difficult task of choosing winners. This they did with due consideration, speaking to each child and studying the costumes with interest. Eventually agreement was reached and prizes awarded as follows: Pre-school and P1-3 Girls winner (Zombie Bride) Tiegan Mayhew; runner up (Granny) Mia Pirie; Boys winner (Scary Skeleton) Jayden Roberts; runner-up (Pirate) Hamish Hutchison. P4-7 Girls winner (The Mad Hatter) Verity Irving; runnerup (Queen of Hearts) Freja Irving; Boys winner (Buttons) Ellis Williams; runner-up (Rubik’s Cube) Jack Brown. The raffle for the cake was won by Jamie Sutherland. After the judging, games got under way with much screaming and hilarity with a calming break for ice cream and jelly. A final game of the Witches’ Sack Race brought the evening towards a close. The traditional dooking for apples and a goodie bag for every child as they left the hall ensured happy children and yet another successful Hallowe’en party.
