missed out or not on the list of attendees, invites will be available to be picked up at the coffee morning or from McNicolls. Hallowe’en Once again, many of all ages took the chance to don weird and wonderful outfits to celebrate All Hallows Eve on Monday. Splendid decoration in each hotel and a particularly handsome carved pumpkin sat on the Cross Keys counter as Fore Road and Main Street echoed to music and laughter. All in all, Buchanan House welcomed 112 guisers, so while pumpkin may have won over turnips, a happy tradition continues. Fireworks The continuing perfect weather conditions of Tuesday added to the success of the 1st Carse Cubs bonfire/fireworks. Another happy event for the community and the organisers are grateful for the support received. Whist Drive All who enjoy a game, or wish to learn, are welcome at the monthly wee whist in the Reading Room on Wednesday, November 9 at 7.30pm. Community Council Members of the public may attend when the council meets in the Reading Room on Tuesday, November 8 at 7.15pm. A Stirling councillor will consult from 6.45pm. School Two projects are underway at present - a food education recipe collection - where you are invited to submit favourite recipes that will be collated into a special collection (by November 11 please) and a backpack project, to aid the Scottish charity Mary’s Meals, welcome until the end of December. It was open afternoon last Friday with the chance to see the Dragon Project - with each class presenting a short project, followed by each classroom being open to visitors. The dragon mosaic was made last month and will soon be installed on the wall by the ramp. All pupils enjoyed Hallowe’en parties organised by the parent council last week.

Morning worship on Sunday will be at 10am and led by Mr Robin Easton. The church is continuing to accept donations for Start Up Stirling. A list of suggested items to donate is in the church meeting room.
