County’s winningrun continues

Stirling County 2nd XV continued their unbeaten run with a 27-12 bonus-point victory over Selkirk A at Bridgehaug­h on Saturday to extend their lead to eight points at the top of BT National Reserve League Division Two.

The five tries were scored by Gregor Anderson (2), Liam Brymer, Colin Turnbull and Stuart Addison, with Logan Bonnar adding a conversion. Their next league match is on Saturday, December 10 when they host Stewart’s Melville but before that the play a floodlit friendly at home against Currie on Friday, November 11, kick-off 7.30pm.

County’s 3rd XV thrashed Hillfoots 111-7 at Bridgehaug­h to stay six points clear at the top of BT Caledonia League Division 3 Midlands (South). They will play their next match on Saturday, November 19 when Fife Southern are the visitors to Bridgehaug­h, kick-off 2pm.

Stirling County’s Academy youth age-grade teams (U13-U18) played their counterpar­ts from Boroughmui­r in the Scottish Rugby’s Club Youth President’s Conference (Tier 1) with wins for U18s (60-3); U16 (31-17); U14 (27-0) and U13 (15-4). The U15s lost 38-17.

This weekend (November 12-13) Currie are the opposition.

County’s Under-18s 2nd XV beat Montrose 65-0 at home in the Caledonia Club (Tier 4) Conference.

On Sunday, County’s girls’ U18 and U15 teams travel to Biggar to play their counterpar­ts in the Club Youth Girls President’s Conference.
