Miners Welfare Social Club Bingo Mondays and Wednesdays at 8pm. Bannockbur­n Community Council Meetings in the community centre on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm. Stirling Christadel­phian Church Hour at the church at 40 Main Street, Bannockbur­n, is held every Sunday from 2.30pm with Sunday school at the same time. Winter Fayre Bannockbur­n Primary School’s fund raising committee is holding its annual winter fayre on Friday, November 18 from 6-8pm in the school. There will be various stalls including quilts, books, cards and jewellery plus home baking, glitter tattoos, chocolate tombola and raffle. Entry £1 per adult, 50p per child. Ladywell Church Service on Sunday will be led by Rev Moira MacCormick. Sunday School is held during the service. Team Two will be on duty. The weekly Coffee Morning tomorrow is at the usual time of 10am till noon. There will be no Craft Club this week. The monthly Coffee Morning is on Saturday from 10am till noon. On Monday the Friendship Bible Guild meet at 2pm when the speaker will be from Erskine. The Christmas Fete will be held on Saturday November 26. Murrayfiel­d United Free Church The service on Sunday will be led by the Rev G Barclay at 11.15am (note new time). Parent/ toddler group meet in the church hall every Tuesday from 9.30am till 11.30am. Our gift day made over £1200, thanks to all concerned. Bowling Club Friday bingo at 9.30pm and on Saturday club opens at 1pm with dominoes at 3.30pm and Joker Draw at 5pm. Bannockbur­n Rugby On Sunday, we had home games against Wearside Drumpelier RFC, Grangemout­h and Alloa for all sections (P1-7 and S13s). On Sunday Nov 27, home training for all sections. All new experience and new to rugby are welcome. Sunday December 4 all sections away to Alloa. Bannockbur­n rugby club are a family orientated club and believe rugby should be safe, inclusive, fun and led by positive, enthusiast­ic coaches. WRI Blairlogie & District SWRI: At the November Meeting of Blairlogie Rural held in the Scout Hall Menstrie on Wednesday, November 9, Lynda Gardiner and her husband of Strathearn Fleece and Fibre gave members and visitors a most interestin­g account of their business describing the different breeds of sheep on their farm, and showing us the fleece and yarns from each breed, and the processes from clipping to the finished fleece and yarns. Many of our knitters and crafters were pleased to buy the lovely natural hand dyed yarns and knitted articles, as well as learning a lot from the many questions asked and answered. Our thanks to Mr and Mrs Gardiner. and their sheep. Competitio­n results: (l) x Individual Fruit Crumbl - 1 Isobel G, 2 Holley M and 3 Jean M; and (2) x Knitted Scarf - l Moira D, 2 Evelyn D and 3 Isobel G. Next meeting is our Party Night on December 14.

Lunch Club The lunch club meets on Wednesdays in the Crawford Hall, Colquhoun Street from 1-3pm and the older members of the community are invited. They will be welcome to come on their own or with a friend or carer. Bingo East Argyll Centre in Colquhoun Street has bingo every Tuesday, eyes down 7.30pm. Christmas prize bingo will take place on Friday, December 2, eyes down 7.30pm. Adults art classes Profession­al artist and award winning teacher Laura Newbury is holding classes for all levels with beginners welcome on Thursdays from 7-9pm in the Crawford Hall, Colquhoun Street. Bridge of Allan Parish Church Sunday worship takes place at the usual time of 11am and will be conducted by Rev Dan Harper. Sunday school meets at the usual time and there will be a creche. Everybody welcome. Flu Vaccine Clinic Annual flu vaccinatio­n clinic will be held tomorrow (Thursday). Please contact the practice to book your appointmen­t. Everyone eligible for the vaccinatio­n is encouraged to attend as there will be limited clinics following this. The flu vaccine is available to everyone over 65 years or under 65 if you are pregnant; an unpaid carer or have a condition such as asthma, diabetes or any other long-term illness.
