GIVE A GIFT APPEAL HELPS SO MANY PEOPLE IN NEED

-

Charities have been leaving us in no doubt just how important gifts donated through the Stirling Observer Give A Gift Appeal are to the young people they support.

Among them are Stirling and District Women’s Aid.

Manager Jessica Lindhof said:“Christmas is a very difficult time of year for many of the women and children we work with and support both in our refuge and through outreach services.

“To enable us to provide Santa sacks and hampers for the families and have a Christmas Party for those in refuge we rely on support from individuals and organisations through donations and gifts.”

The Give A Gift Appeal aims to donate new toys and gifts to sick, needy and vulnerable children at Christmas with the help of a number of local charities and good causes such as: Stirling Council Social Services; Cultenhove Opportunities; Stirling Young Carers; Stirling Women’s Aid; Aberlour; Home-Start Stirling; PLUS; Cornton Vale Family Centre and Help Hub; and foodbank charity Start-Up Stirling.
