Thursday, December 21: Sold were 260 cattle comprising of 135 prime bullocks and heifers and young bulls, 17 OTM cattle and 108 cast cows and bulls.
Prime bullocks averaged 212p; prime heifers averaged 210p; young bulls averaged 186p; OTM cattle averaged 147p; beef cows averaged 112p and dairy cows averaged 95p.
Leading the sale today at 245p pkg was a Limousin heifer from DS and RC Taylor, Easter Ochtermuthill, Muthill purchased by D Campbell and Son, Callander, and to £1466.30 from D Dickinson, Brockwoodlees, Canonbie.
Bullocks sold to 240p pkg from TH Gray, Balquharrage, Lennoxtown, to A Gray, Stirling, and from DS and RC Taylor, Easter Ochtermuthill, Muthill, purchased by T Johnston, Falkirk, and to £1561.28 again from D Dickinson, Brockwoodlees, Canonbie, purchased by T Johnston, Falkirk.

Tuesday, December 20: Forward were 2491 prime lambs, ewes and tups. Top price of the day went to Doune Farms, West Lundie, for three Beltex X lambs at £101. Top price per kilo went to JB Guthrie, Cuiltburn, Muthill, for a pair of 41.5kg Beltex for 229p pkg.
