But bosses take home first class pay

-

Despite failing to hit performance targets, executive members of Forth Valley NHS board continued to rake in pay and pension packages of more than £110,000 a year.

In the 12 months to March this year chief executive Jane Grant enjoyed a basic salary of between £130,000 and £135,000.

Director of public health Graham Foster was paid a salary of between £135,000 and £140,000 plus pension benefits of £30,000.

Director of finance Fiona Ramsay had a salary of £100,000 to £105,000 and pension benefits of £9000.

Human resources director Helen Kelly’s total package of between £155,000 and £160,000 comprised salary of between £100,000 and £105,000 and pension benefits of £54,000.

And £54,000 in pension payments was added to the salary of between £90,000 and £95,000 paid to director of nursing Angela Wallace, while medical director Tracey Gillies had a salary of between £160,000 and £165,000 and pension pot payments of £28,000.

The accounts also show that the payment package of consultant physician and cardiologist Allan Bridges dwarfed executive members of the board – and the salary of First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

In the 12 months to March 31 Dr Bridges, a non-executive board member, earned between £185,000 and £190,000 in addition to pension payments of £72,000.
