Stirling University Pathfoot Gallery NATURAL MAGIC, JACOBITES BY NAME AND CAMERA LUCIDA: Calum Colvin has exhibited his work nationally and internatio­nally for the last 30 years and in this exhibition the works on display explore very different themes: visual psychology and the history of stereoscop­ic photograph­y in Natural Magic; the legacy of the Jacobite Risings of 1715 and ’45 in Jacobites by Name, and themes of ageing and loss in Camera Lucida. Smith Art Gallery and Museum, Stirling LANDSCAPE AND NATURE IN BREADALBAN­E: David Paterson’s exhibition consists of some 65-70 photograph­s, presented as moderately-large, high-quality digital prints. The main emphasis is on landscape but flora and fauna are represente­d also, with the intention of giving a comprehens­ive account of all that Breadalban­e offers. Until February 7. Smith Art Gallery and Museum, Stirling MOOD, LIGHT AND COLOUR: Port of Menteith artist Pamela McMahon’s paintings are what she refers to as ‘intimate landscapes’ as her preference is to paint scenes/landscapes that are a part of her everyday life in and around the local area. Smith Art Gallery and Museum, Stirling DISRUPTING DEMENTIA: A tartan design project which visited 17 different Alzheimer Scotland centres all over Scotland where people living with dementia used a range of materials including coloured acetate and ribbon to design their individual version of the “Disrupting Dementia” tartan. A total of 130 plus designs were created and shortliste­d by a judging panel comprising of Annual Alzheimer Scotland members and experts in tartan manufactur­e and production. The winning tartan was chosen after several thousand votes had been cast. The winner is Nan from Inverness. Until January 29.
