This competition is open to pre-school and primary school-aged children only.
The winner must agree to be photographed and appear in The Stirling Observer. Good luck to all entrants! A busy Stirling road is set to close for five weeks.
A section of Alloa Road (A907), underneath the Wallace Monument, will shut from Monday (Feb 13) to allow gas mains to be replaced.
The road will shut between the Causewayhead and Manor Powis roundabouts, with traffic being diverted in both directions along the A91.
A spokesperson for utilities firm SGN said: “This essential upgrade work involves the replacement of old metal gas mains with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply for the area. A road closure and diversion will be in place between the Manor Powis roundabout and the Causewayhead roundabout for the duration of our work to ensure the safety of motorists. Residential access will be available from the Causewayhead roundabout direction. We are sorry for any inconvenience our work causes and would like to thank road users for their patience.”
The works are set to be completed ahead of the Stirling Marathon and a proposed closure of the Kerse Road Bridge in May.
The replacement of mains are a continuation of work that has been taking place in the area to upgrade gas mains.
In 2015, Causewayhead Road was shut for around three months to motorists to replace piping.
