A host of activities at a Stirling arts centre will keep children entertaine­d next week.

Galloping into Macrobert this school half term break is a quirky rework of classic, Polar Bears who like Sandwiches, and more importantl­y adventures, and X-Factor style singing competitio­n lead by a koala.

Following a critically acclaimed run, Black Beauty canters onto stage on Saturday (February 18). Blending storytelli­ng, music and puppetry, this vibrant re-telling is not to be missed and offers fun and adventure.

Performed by Andy Manley (White, My House) and Andy Cannon (Labyrinth, Arthur), with design by Shona Reppe (White, Huff ), Black Beauty was a huge hit over Christmas at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh.

Two mischievou­s, yet lovable, polar bears are back in The Polar Bears Go Up on Thursday February 16.

Intrepid explorers, famous for their wild expedition­s, this time they’ll be climbing trees, jumping on clouds and reaching for the stars.

In the Filmhouse, from the makers of Minions and Despicable Me, don’t miss Sing. In a city of humanoid animals, a hustling theatre director’s attempts to save his theatre from going under with a singing competitio­n becomes grander than anticipate­d - and the finalists find that their lives will never be the same.
