18 new vacancies at care company

-

At least 18 new jobs are being created by a family-run in-home care provider with the opening of its new office in Bridge of Allan.

Bright Care already has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and Perth.

Tim Cocking, founder and managing director, said:“The office will serve not just the town of Bridge of Allan; but all of rural Stirlingshire, in which there is great need for private care provision for older people.

“There are limited options for senior citizens, taking into account the limitations of statutory services, often the only options is a residential care home, which, in our experience is rarely what people would freely choose.”

Bright Care works exclusively with self-funded, private individuals who have chosen to live independently at home rather than in a residential or nursing home. It chooses not to contract with local authorities, but instead provides a service to clients who approach them directly. Care staff are matched with the older people in an effort to build“meaningful long term relationships”. Care staff support their clients with daily living from personal care to help getting out and about. Tim Cocking Scottish Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the 2012 Prince’s Trust National Business Awards and the Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the 2012 Prince’s Trust Regional Business Awards. The family company employs 180 people and has grown its turnover to £2.5 million.
