Runners brave testing conditions
More than 1000 primary and secondary school pupils braved cold and muddy conditions last week to take part in the Stirling Schools Cross Country Championships.
A total of 49 schools were represented at Queen Victoria School in Dunblane on a challenging day for the youngsters.
Primary six and seven pupils kicked the event off in the morning over a mile-long course, while the secondary pupils tackled the one-and-a-half miles distance in the afternoon.
In Wednesday’s four-page feature on the race, we printed the wrong results for the S3/4 boys race which were provided in good faith by organisers Active Stirling.
We apologise to the young athletes - today we have the correct version.
