There were lots of comments responding to our Kerse Road bridge petition.

Fiona Magregor: “It will affect amount of traffic on my road. It was only closed for a few days and traffic was so heavy. I found it difficult getting out of my drive.”

Abi Dunsire: “Traffic calming on Forthside needs to be removed and traffic light timings altered coming into Riverside.”

Zoe McQuillian: “The traffic was horrendous enough when it was closed for only a couple of days, never mind a year!”

Arthur Cremin: “The railway bridge at Causewayhead was replaced in two days because the new bridge was prefabricated.”

Leah Mckerr: “It will cause chaos as we already saw when closed for a week. Traffic was horrendous and shops at Springkerse will be affected.”

Kate Donegan: “12 months to undertake this work is excessive. There are many faster ways to replace the bridge than is being proposed.”

Jim Logie: “It makes the daily commute to my workplace everyday a real nightmare!”

Sheila Newton: “Network Rail must accept that the imposition of a 12-month closure will have a destructive impact on the residents and businesses in Stirling.”

Lynn MacGregor: “I understand the bridge must be replaced but don’t understand how it could possibly take a year to do so!”
