No further problems have been reported with a level crossing that failed.

The Cornton level crossing was closed for several hours on Thursday, March 9.

Network Rail engineers had to attend after the barrier was going up and down randomly.

A team was called out in the morning, with the fault fully rectified by mid-afternoon.

A meeting of Bridge of Allan Community Council heard this week that PC Gordon Currie had been in the area when the fault occurred, helping to divert traffic, and that no further faults had been reported since the incident.
