Cops link £20,000 jewellery raid to other local crimes
Jewelery worth £20,000 was stolen from a house in Bridge of Allan.
Crooks broke in to a property in Mayne Avenue and made off with the jewellery between 5.30pm and 8.30pm on Monday.
When the occupants returned home they noticed that parts of the property had been searched through and that a number of valuables were missing.
Inspector Gerry McMenemy said: “We’re keen to hear from anyone who may have seen somebody acting suspiciously in this area or who perhaps had someone calling at their door around this time.”
Police said yesterday (Thursday) that they are linking two other housebreakings in the area to the Mayne Avenue theft.
Between 9am on Monday and 6pm on Tuesday a house on Causewayhead Road was broken into.
A property on Anne Drive, Bridge of Allan, was targeted between Monday and Wednesday.
