Police hunt thieves after break-ins at three homes
Police are hunting thieves who targeted three properties in Bridge of Allan and Causewayhead last week.
Crooks overcame security to break into houses on Mayne Avenue, Anne Drive and Causewayhead Road.
The Observer reported last week that jewellery worth £20,000 was taken from the house on Mayne Avenue between 5.30pm and 8.30pm on Monday.
The occupants were out at the time of the theft but when they returned home they noticed that parts of the property had been searched through and that a number of valuables were missing.
The property on Causewayhead Road was broken into between 9am on Monday and 6pm on Tuesday and the house on Anne Drive was targeted between Monday and Wednesday – with jewellery of deep sentimental value taken.
Investigating officers confirmed that they are linking all three housebreakings.
Stirling inspector Donna Bryans said: “We are still appealing for information in relation to these offences. Anyone who can help officers in their enquiries, or any witnesses who may have seen something suspicious in these areas, should come forward.
“We would also appeal to anyone who has been offered jewellery for sale to get in touch with police.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
