Senior Citizens The first summer coach trip of 2017 is to Hawick on Tuesday, April 25 leaving Dunblane at 10am with pick-up points at chapel, Strathalla­n Court in Bridge of Allan, Stirling railway station, Wellgreen in Stirling and St Ninians Toll. To book seats contact 01786 821128 and leave a message. A coffee morning will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 10am in the Cathedral Hall. St Blane’s Church Tomorrow (Thursday) there will be a Maundy Thursday service including the celebratio­n of the Lord’s Supper, in St Blane’s at 7pm. On Good Friday (April 14), a service will be held at 7pm in Lecropt Kirk. On Easter Sunday (April 16), there will be a breakfast held in the hall at 9am followed by an all-age family service at 10am. There will be a Stirling Joint Easter service at 6.30pm in North Church, Stirling. St Blane’s is planning some family-specific evening services on the first Sunday of each month up to the summer. The service will start at 5pm with a meal and worship in the hall. Sign the sheet in the Mitchell Room so that numbers and dietary requiremen­ts can be ascertaine­d. Johanna Martin is raising funds for a trip to Russia to run day camps for vulnerable children and teenagers, with Operation Mobilisati­on. A coffee morning with coffee, cakes, candles and live music will be held in St Blane’s Cchurch hall from 9.30am-12.30pm on Saturday, April 15. In partnershi­p with Dunblane Free Church, St Blane’s is running a course based on Lee Strobel’s DVD, “The Case for Christ”. The last session will be held on Monday, April 17 from 7.30-9pm in the Victoria Hall. The Scottish Bible Society is holding a sponsored walk on Saturday, April 29 starting and finishing at Lecropt Kirk. Sponsorshi­p/donation forms are available in the Mitchell Room. St Mary’s Episcopal Church Tomorrow (Maunday Thursday), there will be a Eucharist, Stripping of the Altar and Nightwatch service at 8pm. On Good Friday (April 14) at 10am there will be a family event in the hall, followed by Stations of the Cross at noon. At 2pm, there will be a service of the Word and Solemn Reflection­s. Easter Sunday (April 16) there will be Holy Communion at 8.30am and an all-age service at 10.30am followed by an Easter Egg Hunt and then tea and coffee. Dunblane Cathedral Holy Week services continue each evening at 7.30pm. Tomorrow (Maundy Thursday), the service will include the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. Midweek service tomorrow (Thursday) at 11am takes place in the choir area of the church. All welcome. On Sunday, the traditiona­l walks to Dumyat and Holmehill take place, when a short service will be held. The Dumyat walk leaves the The Cross at 6am and the short walk to Holmehill leaves at 7am. After each walk, there is the possibilit­y of sharing breakfast in the hall. Morning worship for Easter is at the usual time of 10.30am. Following the service, tea and coffee will be served in the hall, where the Traidcraft stall will also be open. Articles for the May edition of the parish magazine should be handed in to the office by noon on Friday, April 14 to the editor direct by 5pm on Sunday. The halls are open as normal as of Monday, April 17. Kirk session next meets on Tuesday, April 18 at 7.30pm. Accordion and Fiddle Club The next meeting is on Wednesday, April 19 at 7.30pm in the Victoria Hall. Guests will be The Janet Graham Band - all players, any instrument, welcome.

All donations will go to Bandeath Dog Shelter or the Cats Protection League, Fishcross. Family fun day St Ninians Playgroup’s annual family fun day takes place on Saturday, April 22 from 11am-1pm at St Ninians Old Parish Church Hall. The playgroup provides early years education and care in partnershi­p with Stirling Council for children aged 2.5 to five and is based in St Ninians Old Parish Church Hall. The fun day will have games, face painting, tombola, home baking and a light lunch. Emergencie­s permitting the Scottish Fire Service have agreed to pop along with a fire engine. There is also a raffle with top prizes including a Lumia Spa voucher and family day pass for Blair Drummond Safari Park. At 11.45am, Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol will also be visiting. Entry is £1 per adult and children free. St Ninians Old Parish Church Holy week services continue tonight (Wednesday) at 7pm in St Columba’s Church. There will be a Maundy Thursday Communion service in St Ninians Old tomorrow (April 13) at 7pm after which there will be a further time of fellowship in the Parish Halls. The service will be conducted by the Rev Scott McInnes. On Good Friday (April 14) there will be a service in St Mark’s Church, Drip Road at 7pm. The Easter Walk of Witness will begin at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Dumbarton Road on Friday at 11am. On Easter Sunday there will be a service on the castle esplanade at 7.30am. The Easter family service in the church will begin at 10.30am and will be conducted by Rev Gary McIntyre. There will be a further time of fellowship in the Parish Halls after the service. Visitors welcome at all our services.

History Group Next monthly talk is in the Heritage Centre on Thursday, April 27 at 7.30pm when speaker Matthew Pease will give a talk on The Japanese Garden.
