Pupils and staff at a Wee County school have been left upset after heartless thieves raided their computer equipment.

Abercromby Primary School in Tullibody was broken into over the Easter holidays.

Police have said that a large number of items -including laptops and computer equipment - was taken by the thieves.

A Clackmanna­nshire police spokesman said: “The incident occurred between Friday April 7 and Tuesday April 11.

“Entry was gained through a window and a large quantity of electrical items were stolen including laptops and DIY equipment.

“Local officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area of the primary school over the weekend to contact 101 if they believe that they can assist.”

A Clackmanna­nshire Council spokeswoma­n said the whole school community had been left disappoint­ed and upset by the theft.
