Youthis quizzed overfire

A youth has been traced in connection with a serious fire at a Wee County nursery.

Tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to Glenview Nursery in Tullibody and a neighbouring bookmakers after the blaze at the weekend.

The incident occurred between Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, when the fire set in on Ochil Street, causing damage to telephone line.

Officers said the blaze was deliberate, and have now traced a youth who they believe started the fire.

A police spokesman said: “After extensive enquiry by local police, with valued assistance from the Tullibody community, a local youth has been traced, interviewed and will be the subject of a report to the Children’s Reporter.”
