Country park’s events line-up

A number of fun-filled family events will take place at Mugdock Country Park next month.

Visitors are invited to tune in to a dawn chorus while enjoying a ranger-led walk through estates and along waterways between 5am and 7am on Monday May 1.

And on Sunday May 7 those aged between eight and 12 will have likely be caked in mud as they take part in a woodland adventure with the Forest School Ranger from 2pm to 3pm.

Beautiful Bluebells of Mugdock Wood will give outdoors enthusiast­s the chance to witness a wonderful spring display – a carpet of bluebells – while learning more about the history and wildlife of the ancient woodland. This event will be held on Friday May 26 from 1.30pm to 4pm.

A storytelli­ng workshop will be held for youngsters who are fans of an intriguing tale on Monday May 29 from 2pm to 4pm. Those present will be able to develop their ideas in the company of likeminded storytelle­rs.
