Upgrades tocause disruption

Two sections of one of the busiest roads in the Stirling area are set for three weeks of roadworks,

Parts of theA84 near Doune and Blair Drummond are to be upgraded.

Work gets underway on Monday April 24 and will last for three weeks.

Improvemen­tswill take place first at Burn of Cambus, a mile north of Doune, followed by works to a section of the road betweenNya­dd Farm andBlair Drummond.

The roads will be strengthen­ed and resurfaced.

Works at the A84 Burn of Cambus being carried out during the day, started on Monday and are due to be completed on Friday, April 28.

Daytime work on the stretch will take place between 7am to 7pm. Night work on the stretch will take place from May 2-3 from 7pm to 7am.

There will be a 10mph convoy system in place during the work.

Work on the A84 Nyadd Farm to Blair Drummond will take place overnight, starting on Thursday ,May 4 for up to seven nights.

After the works at Burn of Cambus, overnight works will take place on a section of just under a kilometre of the A84 at Nyadd, starting Thursday May 4 for up to seven nights from 7pm to 7am with no work taking place on Friday and Saturday nights.

Again a 10mph convoy system will be in place during the works but this will be lifted during the daytime and at weekends with a 30mph temporary speed limit in place instead.
